Due to the sporting events that Rio de Janeiro will host, the city has been receiving large investments and, in consequence, it’s facing a significant development.The greatest example of this may be the UPP (Unit of Pacifying Police) who are turning the poorest communities in Rio into peaceful places and therefore more open to the city.
Considering this scenario, the Brazilian advertising agency NBS decided that the celebration of their 10 years in the market should be related to these changes in Rio’s society and market. That was how the project Rio +Rio was born, aiming to facilitate the entry of the private sector in pacified communities and generate business favoring both parties.
For that, NBS has opened a business unit in the middle of the community of Santa Marta. Thus becoming the first advertising agency based in a favela, building a bridge between brands and these communities.
