About
Razvan Capanescu is an internationally award winning creative director. Currently he is the Chief Creative Officer of McCann Worldgroup Prague. Prior to moving to Prague, he was Chief Creative Officer of Leo Burnett in Bucharest, and before that of Publicis Bucharest, where he consistently steered these firms into the top agencies of Central and Eastern Europe. Razvan is known for leading creative turnarounds, so he is to be found guilty of several creative premiers of its former agencies: the first Cannes Lion, the first golds at the International Golden Drum Festival, the first Epica Awards, the first admissions in the prestigious Luerzer’s Archive and the first Intercontinental Advertising Cup won by a local agency. Far from being a traditional ad guy, he also coordinates digital mavericks, leading some great gigs – like one of his dearest and most awarded campaigns: "Hack-this-site.com and you're hired", for Bitdefender (data security global champion). His general work approach is integrated, with digital at core. Born in ‘74, Razvan graduated the Law School but didn’t pursue a lawyer career (in spite of his parents despair). Over 19 years now, he pleads for brands such as: Bata, Coca Cola, Gambrinus, Kozel, Mastercard, ĽOreal or Vodafone - to name just a few of the most recent ones. All the nights spent in the name of brands paid off and now Razvan can mention awards at: AdPrint Festival, AD'OR, AD Stars (Asia), Cresta, Epica, Effie, Eurobest, Golden Hammer, Golden Drum, The Intercontinental Advertising Cup, London International Awards, New York Festivals and Cannes Lions.
